Just remember this about politics and career politicians:  It's not
about fixing problems, it's about winning elections, staying in power,
and paying off the backers you whored yourself to in order to get there.
Any issue that you actually *FIX* is one that's no longer available for
you to use against The Other Guys come next election campaign.
