Can any IRIX guru's clue me in on why an install of Mozilla needs to
have frickin' ORBit (a corba request broker) installed, along with
gcc?

What are those guys smoking? I declined to install it and Mozilla
still took up 88MB of space once the dependencies were filled.

I can't stand how installing a single GNOME app pulls in like 300MB of
libraries. Part of the reason for my bias against GNOME, along with
the fact that running the default desktop on RedHat 8.0, on a P4
2.4Ghz box, uses 7% of CPU when you are not even touching the mouse or
keyboard.
