I believe at some point SunSoft and NeXT had some sort of agreement, so
they wer quite close. However NeXTStep on SPARC is rather slow, plus HW
support is rather sketchy, only 1 proc is supported (no HyperSparc), and
not all framebuffers are supported either. My experience is that a nice HP
9000 will run nextstep quite nicelly (either a 712, or a 735/755) vs a
comparable sparc.
