Isn't the LanPlex 2500 the thing with the non-working IP
(de)fragmentation that leads to problems when NFS is used accross the
FDDI - Ethernet bridge?
I remember that someone had a problem like that with a LanPlex 2500.
Solution was to reduce the MTU on all FDDI interfaces to 1500 bytes so
that no (de)fragmentation in the LanPlex was needed.

Besids this, Cabletron made similar equipment. I have two Cabletron ESX
1320 switches. 12 x 10BaseT and 1 x FDDI DAS. Works very well. I don't
know what 100BaseT + FDDI capable switches they made.
