   The laser printer cable is *NOT* "9-pin serial".  It is a video-drive 
interface which controls the CX engine directly with some very 
high-speed signals.  If memory serves at least one of the lines in that 
cable is a piece of coax.

   As for the rest...I'd hunt around on eBay.
