Ah, that was it.  I'd venture to say your internal SCSI controller is
good. 

I would assume a 'probe-scsi' doesn't show much of anything?

Yeah, they're 80(something)$ over here.  However, it was my impression
that they were detachable in (some of) the sparcbooks.    Doesn't sound
like it is in your case.

I suspect your correct, unfortunately. 

/me is outta ideas from way over here..   Mebbe you can set it up as a
diskless workstation, if you've a network.
