Hey, guys.

I just joined the list a few days ago---seems like my kind of hangout.
I've got a fairly substantial collection of '80s micros, and '80s-'90s
UNIX workstations (plus the odd piece defying further classification). My
primary interest is in the history of software usability. I keep telling
that one day I'll experience the zen miracle of perfect enlightenment and
figure out just why software hasn't really gotten significantly easier to
use in the last 20 years, despite huge advances in just about every other
tech discipline.

What am I talking about? It's a hobby. I don't need to justify it further.

I have big plans for an online museum (who doesn't?), but you wouldn't
know it from looking at what I have up already. Part of the problem is
that most of my free time is taken up by my OTHER hobby.

The third problem is that it's easier to just do nothing, but I hardly
need to mention THAT.

I have a few items here that need going out the door, and a few items I'm
looking for. Mostly it's random and bogus stuff, but I figure you guys are
probably a good bet for helping me find it.

The Divest List:
	- quantity (30 to 40) Sun 4 GB SCA disks. Bare drives with no
mounting hardware. The stack is about half IBM, half Fujitsu.

	- IBM 5086 Graphics Processor. Ethernet attachment. I figure
Sridhar has a lot more use for this than I do. I don't even
know how to tell whether it's complete.

	- random Sun parts. Details as I clean up around here a little
more. Chassis stuff from 3/60, SS1, SS2, etc.

	- SS1, SS2, etc. floppy disk drive mounting brackets. I have
four or five. I didn't realize they were different from the
hard drive brackets, and neither did MemoryX.

Seeking:
	- small qty. (4-8) short (< 3m) MIC/SC FDDI cables.
	- small qty. Apollo domain ring cable plant. Station access
adapters, plus coax or positive confirmation of use of
	  standard RG58 or RG59 cabling.
	- 3.5" fixed disk support bracket for IBM PS/2 8580.
	- Sun Type-3 optical mouse pad
	- Sun Type-2 keyboard and mouse
	- NVRAM dumps from working DG AViiON systems.
	- Sun SBus 'ears' for single-width cards (small qty, 5-10)
	- Sun SS1, SS2, etc. fixed disk mounting brackets. (small
	  qty, 5-10)

I actually have a list up with 'wishful thinking' items on it, just in
case.

Mazel tov!
