I used the joystick direction pins to wire up a cheesy little rat shack 8
bit serial ADC.  I tried to sample fast enough to graph audio and music
waveforms, but never was happy with the results.  My (much slower) graphs
of battery (nicad, alkaline, zinc, mercury) discharge voltage and current
vs. time came out fine, however.  Thinking back, that was some of my first
(clueless) digital hardware hacking.
