Acutally, I agree w/ Dave McQuire's comments mostly.  (Except I'd
include 2.5.1 in the "useful" pile.) 

Great OS.  Reasonably stable.  (Well, except for Solaris 8 which has
some noteworthy performance bottlenecks)   My only 'real' complaint is
the company themselves, I think they keep trying to rocket jump with a
nuke, and then wonder why they have no feet. 

Most of the installation can either be done via Jumpstart (if you have a
network) and much of the initial installer/java crap can be avoided by
using a serial console. 

Management stuff, eh.. if you dig hard enough you can find a command
line interface and/or vi..
