I used to have a 20E21 connected to a Radeon 8500 - no problems at all.
Also tried it with an O2 through the HD15 and an Ultra 30 through both the
HD15 and 13W3 connectors with no issues.  Sounds like you've either got a
bad cable or a bad monitor.
