In my experience, something like

F0F0F0 versus F1F0F0 would be likely to be more visible.

Also, trying to increment by one degree colors that aren't primary will
quickly display problems that can't easily be side stepped in 24 bit
color other than by dithering.  Shades of grey, for instance.
