I'm not Jonathan, but I can testify that the Pismo is fine
with 10.2.  I have 512MB in mine, and a faster IBM HD (20GB
pre-FDB, but still faster than the 10GB Apple-ROM'd Toshiba
that was in it).  With a 40GB FDB, it'd probably be even
better.

The bottle-neck is that 8MB ATI for graphics.  I'd doubt
that you'd want to run Photoshop under X on it...though
under Classic PS 4 and FrameMaker 4 are liveable.  And,
of course, games are right out, other than NetHack and
the like.  For traveling with the digital camera, iPhoto,
that kind of thing, it was fine.  But if you are going
to go G3, why not a nice iBook?  Lighter, smaller form
factor...or is it the upgradeability issue?
