[rescue] Why is everyone so OSX happy?

Excellent point but you'd have to ask Apple.  This info came
straight from them, in fact i had to wait around 45 minutes
for them to call me back with the info.  They guy i spoke with
seemed to know what he was talking about, but who knows for
sure.  The 10.2.4 update allows support for Jumbo frames, but
only on XServes.  Prior to 10.2.4 there was no support.  I put
in a feature request for OSX, but i don't know if it will do
any good.

All my gigabit machines support Jumbo frames (mostly NetGear
GA620s) and it makes a noticeable difference, ore so on
systems with slower CPUs due to less interrupts.
