[rescue] DNS on SS2 OpendBSD questions?

Currently running 2.8 on some things.  I didn't really want to upgrade 
to 3.x because I only have a couple of newer Sparc machines but a fair 
amount of 4c systems.  I'm also being a little cheap here. ;-)

I chose not to use PC because the Non-Intel stuff seems to be a little 
more stable than other things on a network.  (I'm not trying to flame 
here - I just seem to see more stability in Non-Intel 'nix boxes.)

Easily repaired items if you've got a good soldering iron and the old 
NVRAM.  Check the archives or talk to me off-list and I'll be happy to 
give tou instructions or maybe even do one for you.  They seem to last 
quite a long time when converted to button battery operation.

E-Bay.  They should be about $15 a piece or less.  Sometimes you find 
person selling a whole bunch of them for cheap bulk price.  But then 
prices seem to be going up lately in some insane matter.  Things I 
thought would never cost more than a couple dollars are now appearing 
for no less than $5 -> $10.  Depends on where you are I guess.

They're usually good for specialty uses but not usually workstations. 
But then it depends on what OS you put on them.

Tell me about it.  From what I hear NetBSD seems to be leaving 4c borken 
for the moment.  A shame really since NetBSD seems to run the lightest 
on those old boxen.

It hasn't been until recently that I've been able to suck down distros 
from the net.  Even then I need to go out and get some more CDs to burn 
these to.
