Thanks to all, for your help, My Impact is now up and running, and it is
brilliant!

That said, it has power problems, I first thought it was the power switch,
and was willing to just leave it on. Three times, once while loading the OS
and twice while using Irix, it has just stopped, like the plug was pulled.

It looks like it was stored in a damp environment. It has small dark gray
spots on the metal chassis.

My idea is to completely strip the machine and use a light abrasive on the
case parts, use a small copper brush to clean out the screw holes where
components attach to the main case, and lastly, use some kind of cleaner on
the contacts on the boards/memory/cables.

Does this look like good plan?
