So, what killed it? (I'm assuming you don't have it any more because
it's dead -- same question for Bill I guess too)
(I bought a basic no-brainer model too when I first moved to Toronto,
and when it wouldn't fit in the kitchen in my "new" place a few years
ago (and I'd already had it for about 10 years) I gave it to a friend
who's kids eventually burned it out by literally burning popcorn in
it....)
(I removed the over-temp. sensor that blew on the fancier newer unit
that was in my last apartment. I probably should have replaced it
before I moved out, but I did leave a red "Caution!" label on the front! :-)
(my wife damn near burned our current unit with a flaming bag of popcorn
(the phone rang and then I smelled smoke :-) -- I dunno why the
over-temp sensor didn't shut it down soon enough, as since then it's
shut down twice with just super-heated steam)
