A BIT?! $100 for the equivalent of a 15 watt incandescant is a bit
more, I could run a 15 watt incandescant for 50 years for less than
$100. Yikes, it would cost several $K to light a decent sized room. I
think LED lights will remain in the domain of special purpose lighting
for a while yet. For instance to replace flourescent in those solar
yard lights, etc., or where the durability is worth the cost, like stop
lights.
