They actually restored many airplanes and cars for the movie.  When I
was watching the documentary, I couldn't believe how cheap it all was,
since it was done while the hardware was just old junk, or at least
surplus, not priceless treasures.  I guess they raided a lot of junk
yards for cars, even.
