[rescue] RE: Fiber channel

My idea was to build short fiber cables, install the cards and connect 2
computers. Looking at the price of connectors on the web, it's not looking
good.

I have an odd feeling that fiber is going to be impractical cost-wise...
I've gotten SC-SC multimode patches for $20 locally at junk shops, but for
the cost of two of those cables you can get a 10base hub and enough patch
cables (assuming you were going for the cost factor with the fiber
cards, and not the optical distance capability or some special driver
project for those cards in particular)..
