Actually I help to found a Linux User Group in the area. Debian is a nice
distro - well, better security anyhow... I will have to say that I really
love NetBSD though. It's not overly dificult to install, runs on anything
including your toaster, and does a good job of it as well. Long ago I put
Linux on an IPX, and it was *far* to slow (for me anyway) to really be
useable. I am sure I could have dumped a bunch of packages and recompiled
the kern and made it a whole lot better, but I really didn't want to
expend the effort at the time. What I have now is an IPC which is not
*quite* the machine an IPX is, and putting NetBSD on it really made it
useable right off the bat. Can't wait to see how nice it runs after a
kern comp.
