The SPARC 5 and 20 have the same case and many other
pieces are interchangeable--but the memory is completely
different.

SPARC 4/5 systems use 168-pin "unusual" DIMMs...I think
they're FPM ECC (?) but none here to check.

SPARC 20 systems, OTOH, use 200-pin DSIMMs. Depending on
the exact revisions/sizes, you can use 64-MB 60 ns DSIMMs
in SPARC 10/20 systems all the way up through Ultra 1/2/30/60
systems. The 32MB DSIMMs that "sunguk" sells have worked
across that whole range as well, although you need the
later OBP for a 10.

Speaking of DSIMMs, anyone have any 128-MB sticks just
sitting around (X7004 or equivalent)? Won the football pool
and actually have some disposable income--pairs needed,
for one of my Ultra 1s. Every time the 128MB sticks come
up on eBay, the price seems to rapidly head north--everyone
else covets them as much as I do, I suppose...
