Isn't using STP for ethernet an option?  I thought I'd seen shielded RJ45
plugs before.  An STP installation might actually end up worse than UTP; if
you screw up the grounding, you can end up with a nice antenna.

Could be that the cheap magnetics on nics are more to blame than cable--if
the cable is precision twisted pair, decent common mode rejection would
cancel out the interference.
