[rescue] Excellent HP L1000 story

Hi Lads

I picked up two ex-demo L1000 boxes from $VENDOR for $CLIENT earlier in the
week (fairly good buying at 800USD + tax each). They had both been sold on
the basis of 1 x 360MHz, 512MB, 1 x 9GB. I was surprised when the second
box arrived and had the following spec:

2 x 440MHz
1GB
4 x 18.2GB/10k LVD
10/100 LAN / 4 port Ultra2 LVD board (A5191-69211)
10/100 LAN board (A3738-60001)
DVD
Secure web console + deskside kit + cables + manuals + unlimited HP-UX
licenses

Since these are for a fairly important fail-over cluster, I rang $VENDOR to
complain and he promised to send up another box - I asked him if they
wanted the over-speced unit sent back and he said that "...no, it would
create too many problems". The new box arrived today with a very apologetic
note attached - and it says I can keep the extra unit!!!!!!!!!!!!!
