Actually, it's MasterCard.  I should know...my father won
the "priceless" vacation for 10 people to a private island
that was advertised during the Super Bowl in January 2001.
And yes, it *was* truly awesome.  Mel Gibson and others
had stayed on the island...

Not strictly true.  I have an MGX+ which (copying the 32-bit
drivers for 2.6 over to later versions) runs 24-bit and reasonably
fast (much faster than S24) under Solaris 7 and 8.  Similar can
be done with the Fujitsu AG10E IIRC.  Unfortunately, you're
"stuck" with Solaris, I haven't tested the MGX+ under 9, and
although they *do* show up they're not exactly plentiful.
Then again, I've seen far more auctions for the MGX+ or AG10E
than I have for the S24.  So what he's looking for isn't
pure unobtainium...it's some sort of alloy.
