[rescue] looking for used old-school UNIX books

Bill,

Remember, the book you are looking for is a "timeless classic" that
doesn't "expire". The "MCSE IN A WEEK" books do... Frequently.

Take solace in the fact that the book(s) you are searching for are
still relevent, years after publication.

AFAIK, there are two basic sources for these types of "half-price"
bookstores - consumers and the publishers, neither of which are likely
to "dump" this still currently-offered books. If you go to your local
Borders/Barnes & Noble/whatever you will find these books still sold at
full price.

FYI - In Piscataway, NJ (home of Bellcore/Telcordia, AT&T, Lucent) the
K&R C Programming book is the 18th most popular book at Amazon - go
figure! (Hardcover is $60, paperback is $40 - no discount)
