The standard postal rates are very competitive.  I've talked to
people that live in other countries and they spend a lot more to
send letters and small packages than we do with the USPS.  The
2-3 day delivery of Priority Mail covers the whole US, which is
quite a distance.

You do know the USPS is self-supporting, don't you?
