At first I was trying to figure out why Eric was making a derogutory
comment about you family line.  I mean, that just doesn't sound like
him.  Then I thought, but this doesn't even make any sense.  What's
the use of a senseless insult?  

It took quite a while to realize that he was just saying " and Bob's
your uncle."  Sigh.
