Since I now *own* Dave's old DM ( : , Let me offer some comparisons.

Dave's DM, with a Quad R4400/200-4Meg CPU board in it and 2 FULL MC3's filled
with 16Meg Dimms (1024M) a Single IO4 with a MEZ SCSI and a MEZ FDDI (DAS),
and 2 2-gig IBM Diff Drives: pulls1/3 to 1/2 the capacity on an APC 2.2KV UPS.

My Onyx with a dual R4400/200-4Meg CPU board in it, 1/2 of an MC3 filled with
64Meg Dimms (1024M), an IO4 with MEZ FDDI (SAS) and an RE2 w/1 RM and 1 18Gig
Low Profile Drive : pulled 80% load on the same UPS.

My Onyx with a Quad R4400/200-4Meg CPU board in it, 1/2 of an MC3 filled with
64Meg Dimms (1024M), an IO4 with MEZ FDDI (SAS) and an RE2 w/ all 4 RMs and
1 18Gig Low Profile Drive + 1 HH 2 Gig Drive and a CDROM : pulls 92% load on
the same UPS. (and generates a buttload of hot air, as Dan can attest to.)

So, where does this put us?

George
