it wouldn't surprise me.  pre-LSI hardware is EXTREMELY resistant to any type
of interference.  in a business where you can fuck things up pretty badly
that's important.  it's for the same reason that core memory is still used
by NASA since multi-bit memory errors could mean dead astronauts.
