Yes, I did leave out the Onyx.  I love SGI's hardware and software, but:
  1) People occasionally pay me to do Solaris and/or Windows work.  So,
     I'd need a Solaris box, as well.  No one asks me to do IRIX software,
     but even if they did, my webserver is still an IRIX box.
  2) No basement.
  3) I'd only be able to run it in the winter, I think.  Even with the A/C
     going, the combined heat output of the Octane and my IBM monitor
     raise the temperature of my workroom in to the mid-eighties.  I
     suspect that an Onyx (as much as I would love to run one) would
     probably approach meltdown.
