agreed, it alll depends.

agred, s/w raid can't keep up with an asic. no s/w can keep up with an
asic.  hence i use riverstone for networking

fc does have a higher throughput If your FC form the hba to the drive.
scsi doesn't keep up.

i've also had better reliablity with fc than scsi in dual path
scenarious.  i've never had an fc/path issue.  i have had scsi/path
issues.  

fc frames are just scsi with some more info appended to the hearders,
and it seems to work better for me.  if you can, switch it instead of
loop it.  it'll make your life easier
