that would be the easy solution.  yes. :)

i would use a proper bridge, but that's just me. :)

anyway, the reason i'm even posting is: does linux properly do MTU translations?
OpenBSD has done bridging for a while and NetBSD now does bridging, but neither
of them currently does bridging between networks with different MTUs (yet, it
will be there soon).

bridging under solaris.  hmmm.  i'll have to look into that, never did that one
before (like i said, i like networking hardware, so i use proper bridges. *G*)
