Networking does work fine though - this is a 10.20 box...

 swinstall -s `pwd`/gzip*.depot
and interact with the GUI.  There are a bunch of options that allow
non-interactive install, see the man page.
make sure:
  -/etc/nsswitch.conf is set up properly (hosts files)
  -swagentd is running.
