Used to be a time when you would _never_ see a mouse in a computer room,
then NT came along and suddenly we had to have desks, and PeeCee width
keyboards as well as the mouses. Blame M$, I do.

Damn straight! I always encourage the young-uns to use the CLI instead of a
GUI and to record what they do in a typescript. Makes it a snap to see what
you've done, particularly when compiling and installing things like BIND,
sendmail, perl, apache, etc. particularly if you get them to type type the
following
commands immediately after starting the typescript: id; pwd; uname -a;
date; ls -las
This then becomes their documentation, or at least a place to start documenting
from.

Oh and the Veritas GUI sucks ass, it was a source of confusion for me for a
long time,
I only started enjoying Veritas once I sat down and looked at the CLI tools.

>but who am i to say? i've only been doing this for 10 years.
6 years for me, God I feel old sometimes!
