[rescue] Just a thought - what would be a good starter SPARC system these days?

I think it is Red Hat Cert. test that has you fix a
broken machine (maybe config, maybe *bad* hardware...)

That is a good test, IMHO.

If you are certified, you should be able to fix a
machine that can only be described as "broken, used to
work".

A Solaris Admin class I took years ago (2.5.1!) had us
teak abreak, and then fix our problems on our *IPCs*,
net booted off an IPX!
