>From the size and shape description, I'd say it's very likely a 22 =B5F
aluminum electrolytic.  You'll also need to determine voltage (10-15V, most
likely).  Don't forget that most electrolytics are polarized (the black
hemisphere you mentioned is the polarity marker).  Tolerances on Al 'lytics
are all over the place, so any cap that will fit with at least 22=B5F will
probably work.

Don't forget: I'm the guy with a 2kVA UPS on a 18 gauge 2 wire power cord,
so take it for what it's worth...  ;-)
