The stuff you talk about doesn't seem to be about why not to eat meat,
just to do with current unsustainability of some of the large scale
methods used.
Certainly I would agree with you the sooner we move away from ripping
all we can from the environment without regard for damage or the 
future, the better. However, how do your arguments stack up against
someone who for example practices permaculture farming, which does
use animals?
However the methodolgy we need to abandon applies to a lot of things.
How many of us limit our consumption of electricty because of 
greenhouse issues..
On the plus side, stopping old computers getting into landfill is
a very good thing..
