[SunRescue] Your not gettin' em!

I suspect (I don not *know*, IANAL) that if HiTechCafe can show that they made a good faith effort to avoid problems, and that this was an exceptional event, they "local officials" will be inclined to simply issue some sort of warning or other advisory.

The end result would be that "Louie" would have to show some review process going forward to eliminate these types of errors, have closer links to real-time inventory data, and in general improve his processes (like not sending out order confirmations until the sale has been completed, not simply accepted).

Or he could just stop taking orders on-line, simply post an inventory listing and a phone number to call.

End result, headaches for Louie (he should have always had a better process), and, I regret to say, no satisfaction for you (you will not get the $200 drive for $20, esp. if you bring down the local authorities on Louie).

Besides, deep down, you knew the deal was too good to be true, and you tried to take advantage of Louies mistake. Now that you can't get the drives you are going "teach him a lesson" - I think I just remembered why I don't want to deal with the public in a retail setting...

Yeah - let's all band together and show "louie" what we are made of! ;^(
