[SunRescue] Axil clone

Well, the two CPUs are probably 1 Meg cache units, so they have some value,
say $100 for the pair (used, private sale, as-is - warranteed from a vendor,
higher). The RAM has a real value of about $50 (4x 16 Meg DIMMs are $27 at
www.supersellers.net, so 128 Meg would be $54 + S/H). The base is worth
about $50, IMHO.

For comparison, a complete, less HD Axil 311 can be had for $149 at
http://www.computerfriend.com/templates/frmTemplateE.asp?CatalogID=156&Zoom=
Yes&SubFolderId=23 - this unit has keyboard/mouse/framebuffer/64 Meg RAM/no
HD.

So, my opinion would be that something in the $150 -> $200 range could be
supported by your friend as the asking price. Would I pay that much for this
system. no, but that is me. As the price approaches $100 it becomes a better
deal, but a more unlikely sale. If you want/need/have a real use for this
system offer $175 and consider any extra paid to be good will (if you bought
the system over the net you would probably pay $25 for S/H anyways).

HTH,

Ken
