puts me in mind of dueling accents.

I shared a barracks with a pair of WMs (Woman Marines) who became good
friends/roomates.  One had a thick english accent, the other had an inner
city (Detriot) accent.  Way to funny to hear 'em talk to each other.

Funniest accent I heard was a friend in high school - he had moved
to Oklahoma from *AUSTRALIA*.  After 3 years:

"G'Day, y'all" (he actually said this...)
