[rescue] interesting geek toy

I've got here an AirMedia / Global Village
NewsCatcher / "Internet Antenna" that was
sold 3-4 years ago.  This thing basically
hooked up via your serial port and you got
news feeds, stock quotes, etc, over the
pager networks ..

However, they discontinued the service in
'99.. but I'm wondering if I couldnt somehow
use this to "sniff" the signal going over
the pager frequencies...
