I would bet that your sub is well shielded.  my sub is very well 
shielded (a nice sub, i like Klipsch).  cheapo subs aren't shielded 
(much like cheapo speakers) So, it was probably alright on the sub.  
Although, i don't think the vibrations really help it much.
