You need a small little transceiver box that plug directly into the 14 pin
plug. They are dirt cheap ($5) used.

Subject: [rescue] SUN SBS/S card

Hi all,

I have an old Sbus card SCSI/Ethernet which I discovered is called SBE/S. I
would
like to connect it to my SS5 to realize a router for ADSL. This card has a
14 pin
ethernet connector. I cannot use this directly, first I have to convert it
to
rj45. Can somenone tell me how to build the necessary cable ?
I have read that it is possible to connect this card to an AUI/rj45
transceiver.

Thanks in advance,
Paolo
