[[rescue] flamewar question: Perl]

In the 5 hours since I went to sleep and got back up, it looks like the
People's Republic of FooFooNahNah has declared war upon the Socialistic
Protectorate of Mineisbiggerthanyours. ;)

Interesting tidbit...on of my close friends who never did more than peruse
a book a C(and who can write in perl with the best) one day sat down and
just started writing something in C.  Literally.  A few syntax and
operator corrections later and he had a cleanly compiling C program.
After looking at the whole mess, the natural progression is pretty
obvious.  If you know C that well, I wouldn't bother with perl.  But as a
tool, I still think perl is superior to Python and Tcl/Tk(except for
making X-crap).

w000t I hope the wife is brewing coffee or things are going to get ugly...
