Brian,
	I've seen similar problems when a memory expansion board isn't
inserted all the way, or when it's inserted at a strange angle. The VME
backplane on the 600MP seems to be electrically very picky. Make sure that
your boards are inserted all the way (a gentle shove might be in order),
and try inserting them a little on the high side -- hold it so that the
board and the top of the slot are touching as you slide it in.

I assume you've got all of your jumpers in order, right? This includes
jumpering one as board 1 and the other as board 2, and also the
timer-thingie jumper (What's it called?) in the lower left corner (with
VME connector facing you) needs to be there as well. Not to mention the
well-labeled ones along the top, which should be self-explanatory.

I just checked my diagnostic LED reference, and I don't see the pattern
you mention anywhere.
