I'd say, for normal PeeCee fileserving, it's OK. Hardware RAID-5 with a
decent writeback cache and somewhat optimized chunksize, can be very
useful for long sequential files and normal day-to-day fileserving. I
love the Digital HSZ/HSG-series.
If you're going for the big iron and run databases, and need the seek
performance, go with the striped mirroring (RAID 1+0) option.
