You are so right, Bill. That's your right to do, and noone seems to
complain about your decisions either. That's good. That proves that
you're not one of those evil "LIST DICTATORS" that plague some of the
mailinglists out there.
If you'd been a list dictator, you'd see hords of unsubscribers.

I can't say it's fun all the time, every morning reading through 150+
messages with things like "blah blah blah last saturday I farted so loud
that the earth trembled blah blah blah". Not that I dislike "fart-humor"
or anything like that, it gives the list a special atmosphere (odour?)
when people can take off their suit and just be plain fun and friendly.
Sometimes it goes beyond a certain limit... sometimes.
Good thing you invented the geeks-list.
