Why use PPP? Slam some old 3c501's or 8-bit 3c503's in them and you're golden. XT-class machines are perfectly capable of using Ethernet and you get a lot fewer dropped packets for less CPU utilization. Or is this an exercise in bogocomputing rather than retrocomputing? :) --James B.
