I was once shipped a box of expensive textbooks which UPS
dropped off outside my house, directly in front of a rainspout,
during a torrential downpour.

They replied that the books should have been "more securely
packed" after I told them the box disintegrated when I had
tried to move the package inside that evening. I had to settle
at a fraction of the original costs because they were "used"
textbooks...
