In our case, all of us were hired with the usual 2-week, then they decided
to change it right before I left.  We got new handbooks, had to sign for
them, and the "signing" was supposed to affirm that you agreed with all
the polices in it.  Except we weren't allowed to have the books until we
signed for 'em...
